PHOTOGRAPHY CLASSES

General Information

Helping you take better pictures is our main goal at Leo's Camera Shop. Our photography classes are designed to get you headed in the right direction. All classes are held at our new location, 437 Main Street, Klamath Falls, OR. For classes that require a fee, your fee is due at registration. Class sizes are limited so please register early. To register just stop in and fill out a registration form. For more information call us at 541-882-3331.

Cancellation Policy: If you need to withdraw from a class, 48 hour notice is required and a credit toward another class will be issued. If you withdraw without 48 hour notice, your fee will not be refunded.

Digital Photography 1 - Digital Photography Basics

In this two hour class, learn the basics of digital photography. You will have a better understanding of what makes a good picture and things to consider when taking pictures, when you should use a tripod, and when to use a flash. We'll also cover memory storage, battery issues and some of those new "digital" terms. If you only take one digital photography class, this is the one.

Digital Photography 2 - Getting more out of your Digital Camera

In this two hour class, learn how digital photography is changing the way we take pictures. We'll learn what digital zoom is and what file size makes the best pictures. Learn when to delete and when not to. Get a better understanding of resolution/compression and how it affects pictures quality. We'll also cover the different printing options and their pros and cons.

Digital Photography 3 - After the pictures are taken

In this two hour class, we'll continue our discussion on digital imaging. We'll go over what RAW is and how to use it as well as archiving and printing options with digital images. Retouching and editing techniques using Photoshop will be covered. You'll also learn about histograms, what they mean and how they'll benefit you.

Getting the Most Out of Your SLR Camera

In this two hour class, learn more advanced operations of your SLR camera. Bring your camera so you can follow along as we cover the different parts of your SLR and what they do. We'll also cover lens selection, depth of field, film choice, when to use a flash, exposures, filters, and when to use a tripod.
A basic understanding of photography is required, and this class is geared toward the SLR user.

Book Making & Gifts - Using Lifepics to Create Gifts

Creating a book has never been easier. In this class we’ll demonstrate how to use Leo’s Camera Shop online website for making books. We’ll also explore other gifts like multi page calendars and folded greeting cards. See how you can customize your gifts for that special touch that makes your gifts the most popular.
